Launched in July 2021 with £425m seed capital, The Aviva Investors Climate Transition Real Assets LTAF has grown to £799m in equity commitments, deploying £761m across 27 assets.

Focused on acquiring sustainable assets and actively transitioning others through refurbishment, development, and operational upgrades, the fund gives investors access to real estate, infrastructure, nature-based solutions, and climate solutions in one strategy.

Additionally, the Climate Transition Real Assets strategy focuses on four pillars: Avoid high-emission assets, Reduce energy use and emissions, Remove carbon through sequestration projects, and Align investments with best-in-class emissions performance and transition pathways.

Each asset is managed to a specific decarbonisation plan. Additionally, TCFD reporting provides Scope 1, 2, and certain Scope 3 emissions, science-based targets, and temperature metrics, ensuring investments deliver real-world outcomes and long-term sustainability.

Based on these criteria, Aviva Investors wins the 2026 Insurance Asset Risk climate mitigation investment initiative of the year award.
