MEAG invests €290m into Finnish wind farm

MEAG has provided a €290m ($341m) loan as the sole senior-term lender for a Finnish wind farm on behalf of Munich Re, other insurance companies under the Ergo Group, and institutional investors in MEAG Infrastructure Debt Fund II.

The Mutkalampi wind farm in western Finland has 69 turbines under development and is owned by Neoen, a French renewable energy producer. Once in operation, the park will cover 2% of Finland's national electricity production.
