Allianz purchases building in Berlin

Allianz Real Estate Germany has purchased the Stettiner Carree office building in Berlin on behalf of various Allianz companies.

The property was sold by subsidiaries of private equity company Global Asset Capital for around €210m ($237m).

The office building is fully rented out to rail company Deutsche Bahn on a long-term basis. Constructed in 2004, the building has excellent transport connections and attractive infrastructure, said Allianz.

"Berlin is a dynamic office market. With the acquisition of the Stettiner Carree we are growing our exposure in Germany's capital city," said Annette Kröger, CEO of Allianz Real Estate Germany.
