Axa IM launches Italian property fund

Axa Investment Managers - Real Assets has launched Hadrian, an Italian fund with capital of €145m ($160m) invested by insurance companies and pension funds.

This core-plus fund will invest in office and high street retail properties in Europe, and is managed by Axa REIM SGR, an Italian subsidiary of Axa Real Estate Investment Managers, which is in turn a subsidiary of Axa Investment Managers.

In a separate development, Sébastien Herzog has been appointed global chief financial officer, chief operating officer and corporate secretary at Axa IM - Real Assets.

Herzog, based in Paris, will also become a member of the AXA IM - Real Assets' management board, reporting to Pierre Vaquier.
