Dennis Klimes joins Prime Advisors to head sales and business development

Insurance asset manager Prime Advisors has appointed Dennis R. Klimes, a 20-year veteran of Morgan Stanley, as senior vice president and director of sales and business development.

Klimes most recently served as a senior fixed income specialist in Morgan Stanley's Seattle, WA, office and, in addition to sales experience at the firm, was previously a portfolio manager and foreign exchange trader. His 32-year career also includes JP Morgan International, UBS, and Sanwa Bank.

With insurance assets under management of $12.3bn as of Nov. 30, 2014, Prime Advisors is led by chairman and CEO Donald L. McDonald, who expressed confidence that Klimes "will have an immediate impact helping Prime to expand our sales efforts and marshalling the resources within Prime to develop new opportunities." He fills a vacancy that has been open for a year.

Prime Advisors is headquartered in Redmond, Washington, and has an East Coast office located in Windsor, Connecticut.
