Insurers and regulators join to discuss data concerns

Regulators and senior figures in the insurance industry will gather to discuss data management challenges at InsuranceERM's fifth Data for ERM & Solvency II 2017 conference on 7 June.

The one-day conference at Hilton London Bankside will hear from experts dealing with issues such as the first annual Solvency II returns and the Solvency and Financial Condition Report, and the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its impact on the insurance industry.

The event will also cover risk modelling under low interest rates and what IFRS 17 will mean for data and actuarial systems.

Dr Dean Buckner, data specialist at the Prudential Regulation Authority, will provide a keynote address on the data challenges in the changing regulatory landscape.

Other speakers include representatives from Eiopa, Co-op Insurance, Advantage Insurance Company, Wesleyan, regulators from Slovenia and Gibraltar, BearingPoint, Munich Re, Legal & General Retirement and QBE Europe.
