Investment appointments at Zurich, LGIM, Axa IM

Zurich UK Life appoints CFO

Helen PickfordZurich UK Life's new chief financial officer (CFO) Helen Pickford will succeed current CFO Neil Evans on 1 April when he retires from Zurich after 28 years of service. Pickford has more than 20 years' experience in the insurance industry and joins from Ageas, where she was finance director for eight years. Prior to this, she spent almost 15 years in senior roles at Royal Sun Alliance and its associated companies.

LGIM hires infrastructure investment professional

Erik WestermarkLGIM Infrastructure has appointed Erik Westermark as senior investment associate, bringing the team to six. He will report to Silja Turville, head of LGIM Infrastructure.

Westermark worked at Citi Global Markets and most recently at Lloyds Bank focusing on infrastructure, energy and acquisition finance.

LGIM Infrastructure is part of the Real Assets division of Legal & General Investment Management. The division was established in 2012 and has concluded 18 deals to date, the majority debt investments, and has invested in transport, renewable energy, communication networks and PPP and PFI schemes.

Axa IM adds equities portfolio manager

Michele Patri joined Axa Investment Managers (Axa IM) in January as senior portfolio manager in the Axa IM Framlington Equities' European equities team.

He reports to Gilles Guibout, head of European strategies. The European equities team at Axa IM Framlington Equities has 30 investment experts currently managing around €30bn ($33.4bn) in assets. Axa IM is part of the Axa Group.

Patri joins from AllianceBernstein where he worked for 14 years, most recently as senior vice president and manager of the company's European Flexible Equity Fund.
