J P Morgan AM appoints global strategist

J P Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has appointed Thushka Maharaj as global strategist and executive director in the global strategy team. This team is part of JPMAM's investment management solutions global multi-asset group.

Based in London, Maharaj will be responsible, along with the existing members of the global strategy team, for determining global economic and asset allocation strategies for institutional and retail clients. She will report into John Bilton, head of global multi-asset strategy. 

Maharaj was previously a director in Credit Suisse's European interest-rate strategy team and has experience in rates and derivatives. She holds an MSc and PhD from the University of Oxford and is a CFA Charterholder.
