Karyn Williams named Farmers Group CIO

Karyn Williams is to become chief investment officer of Farmers Group on 1 September 2015.

She succeeds Peter Teuscher, who has returned to parent company Zurich Insurance Group in Switzerland as head of alternative investments.

Since joining Farmers in 2013, Williams has been serving as head of insurance investments. Prior to Farmers, Williams worked at Wilshire Associates in various roles advising institutional investors on investments and risk management.

Teuscher had been CIO of Farmers since 2012.
