Miles Capital expands alternatives services

Miles Capital has announced an expansion of its alternative markets solutions (AMS) for insurance companies and has appointed Steve Stotts, former head of external managers for Aviva Investors North America, to head the AMS group and lead the initiative.

"Small to medium-sized insurers have never had an effective delivery mechanism to address the many barriers in the alternatives marketplace," explained Gregory Boal, Miles Capital CEO and CIO. "AMS provides an accessible platform."

Added Stotts, "With AMS, we can provide insurers the access and the guidance, and tailor portfolios to help directly meet their needs."

Insurance company general account assets managed by Miles Capital, located in West Des Moines, Iowa, totalled $3.1bn as of 30 June 2014, according to the Insurance Investing Outsourcing Report.
