OMGI hires head of investment consultant relationships

Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) has recruited Craig Stevenson from Towers Watson as global head of investment consultant relationships.

OMGI said the appointment reflects a strategy to broaden and diversify its client base within the institutional sector for both alternative and traditional investment solutions.

At Towers Watson, Stevenson was most recently a senior investment consultant and led equity hedge fund research. Prior to that, his experience included bfinance, Standard & Poor's and Stamford Associates.

OMGI is an arm of Old Mutual Group with assets under management of £22.5bn ($35bn).

It was announced on 30 June that Towers Watson and re/insurance broker Willis Group Holdings have signed a definitive agreement on a merger which is expected to close by the end of the year.
